Posted by on Mar 19, 2020

Mr. Larry Wayne Cleaver of Campbellsville, son of the late Charlie and Dollie (Bloomer) Cleaver, was born on December 12, 1946 in Totz, Kentucky. He departed this life on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at the Taylor Regional Hospital after a sudden illness. He was 73 years, 3 months, and 6 days of age. Mr. Cleaver had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Pentecostal faith. He was a talented landscaper and kept many yards in his neighborhood in tip-top shape. Mr. Cleaver was the devoted husband to Mrs. Hilda (Gribbons) Cleaver, who preceded him in death in 2017.

He leaves to cherish his memory:

Three children: Kathy Banahan and husband Tom of Illinois, Larry Cleaver, Jr. and wife Vannetta of Louisville, and Charles Cleaver and wife Beverly of Indiana,

One brother: David Cleaver and wife Glenda of Harlan,

Seventeen grandchildren,

A host of stepchildren and grandchildren,

And several other family members and friends.

He was also preceded in death by two infant children: Eddie and Freddie Cleaver; and seven siblings: Ethel Clark, Bob Cleaver, Willie Cleaver, Charles “Cotton” Cleaver, Richard Cleaver, Myrtle Cleaver, and Bessie Cleaver.

Mr. Cleaver will be laid to rest in the Mt. Washington Cemetery beside his late wife.

Due to efforts to combat the spread of COVID-19 and recent requirements implemented by the Office of Governor Andy Beshear and the Kentucky Board of Embalmers and Funeral Directors, all funeral services will be performed privately.
