Phillip “Phil” Davis, 67

Mr. Phillip Earl “Phil” Davis of Campbellsville was born on November 18, 1951 in Richmond, Indiana to the late Earl D and Jeanette A. (Stevens) Davis. He departed this life on Monday, October 14, 2019 in Indianapolis as the result of an illness. He was 67 years, 10 months, and 26 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Christian faith. Mr. Davis had retired from the Alcatel-Lucent Company after 30 years of service as an installer and test engineer of telecommunication equipment.

Mr. Davis was a veteran of the United States Air Force, and had served his country honorably during the Vietnam War era. He was fiercely proud of his country and the men and women that defend her. He was a member of the Patriot Guard Riders, the American Legion Post 82, and the Legion Guard Riders. After receiving an honorable discharge, he continued to support his fellow brothers and sisters in arms. He held several positions in the American Legion, most recently as an Alternate National Executive Committeeman. In what little free time he could muster, he enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling, or just a quiet ride on his motorbike.

He leaves to mourn his passing:

His wife: Barbara A. (Mills) Davis of Campbellsville,

Two children: Nicole Dixon and husband Nick, and Michael P. Davis and wife Rebecca, all of Campbellsville,

A sister: Rose Marie Jensen and husband Karl of Richmond, Indiana,

Five grandchildren: Casey Hardin, Hayden Davis, Westin Dudgeon, Kennon Davis, and Keegan Davis,

A special niece: Renae Brown and husband Steve of California,

And a host of other family and friends.

There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Davis on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Steve Orr will be officiating. Entombment will follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum..

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, Oct. 18, after 10:00 AM until time for the service.
