Thomas Russell “Russ” Wethington

Russ entered this life at the Rosary Hospital, in Campbellsville, Kentucky, on July 09, 1962. His parents are Bill and Carolyn Wethington, Campbellsville. In addition to his parents, Russ had three brothers, two sisters-in-law, two nieces and one aunt who remain. The brothers, sisters-in-law and nieces are: Van Wethington, his wife, Jennifer and daughter, Grace, who live in Bowling Green, Kentucky. His brother, Scott Wethington, who lives in Campbellsville, Kentucky and Chris Wethington, his wife, Candy and their daughter, Taylor, who are residents of Glasgow, Kentucky. Russ’ aunt is Barbara Jean King of Lexington, Kentucky. Russ also has cousins who survive, as well as friends in Campbellsville and many friends in Lexington where he lived and worked for Shoe Carnival for 35 years.

Russ invited Christ into his heart and life and was baptized on May 18, 1976 by Brother Don Walters, minister (at that time), of the Campbellsville Christian Church where Russ maintained his membership.

Russ left this life at 4:30 on Saturday afternoon, November 2, 2019 at Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky, surrounded by his brothers and parents.

A memorial service will be held to honor Russ in Lexington, Saturday, November 16, with several of the corporate officers of Shoe Carnival in attendance.

In lieu of a formal funeral service, there will be a visitation at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home beginning at 2:00 P.M. and lasting until approximately 3:30 P.M. on Sunday, November 17, 2019. Following the visitation, there will be an interment service at Brookside Cemetery with Minister Joel Patton presiding.

Honors may be given to Russ by contributing to the Campbellsville Christian Church, to the Gideons International to purchase Bibles for distribution around the world or to the Brookside Cemetery maintenance fund.
