Charles J. Campbell, age 77, of Taylor County, died Saturday, December 15th at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.
He is survived by his wife Marjorie Campbell, two daughters and son-in-law Teresa and Jeff Thompson of Campbellsville and Lisa Stubbs of Rineyville, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren, three brothers Clarence Campbell of Illinois, Earl Campbell of Campbellsville and Willard Campbell of Massachusetts, three sisters Belle Kessler of Campbellsville, Edna Dixon of Illinois, and Rose Williams of Glasgow along with a host of family and friends.
Funeral services for Charles Campbell will be conducted at 11 AM Tuesday, December 18th at Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial to follow at Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
Family requested visitation from 5 to 8 PM Monday, December 17th.

Paul Mills of Campbellsville, son of the late Henry Mills and Betty Polston Mills, was born in Russell County, Kentucky, October 7, 1930. He died at 6:05 A.M., Thursday, December 13, 2012, in Campbellsville. Age: 82
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville Baptist Church.
He was a former employee of the Overhead Door Company in Campbellsville.
He united in marriage to Ineze Loy December 27, 1950.
Besides his wife, Ineze Mills, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Janet Mills of Campbellsville; two grandchildren: Stuart Mills and Stephanie Johnson and husband, Dr. Paul Johnson of Campbellsville; five great-grandchildren: Brittany McMahan and husband, Bobby, Shawn Mills,
Hayes Johnson, Harper Johnson and Hadley Johnson of Campbellsville; one sister-in-law, Reba Mills of Brooks, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters: Bill Mills, Elmer Mills, Tommy Mills, Ruby Spurling, Alta Hayes and Ann Grant.

12-08-2012, 6:27 am (WHAS11) — A family-owned tire store in Campbellsville is a total loss this morning after fire crews battled a major blaze for several hours Saturday morning, check this out to read more.
According to Ronnie Dooley, spokesperson for Campbellsville Fire and Rescue, dispatchers received a call of a working fire at Taylor County Tire Sales at 6:25 a.m. Saturday. When fire crews responded, the fire was heavily involved. Five fire crews assisted, including Taylor County, Adair County, Marion County, Green County and Somersville, and were able to contain the fire from spreading to nearby businesses.
The fire burned for several hours before it was contained. Fire crews were still carrying in water and waiting for the area to cool down nearly three hours after the fire was reported.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
According to Dooley, some electricity was interrupted in the area due to the fire.
South Columbia Avenue from Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. to Main Street will be closed for most of the day.
Taylor County Tire Sales is a family-owned business since 1963. The building is considered a total loss.
No injuries were reported.
