Edith Marple
Edith Marple, age 88, of Lowell Avenue, Campbellsville, died Wednesday at the Medco Nursing Home after an illness.
She was the daughter of the late Charlie Lawson and Florence Burge Lawson of Taylor County, a member of the Lowell Avenue Baptist Church and the widow of Jesse (Red) Marple). Besides her parents and husband Mrs. Marple was preceded in death by one son, Darrell DeWayne Marple in infancy, one brother, William (Bud) Lawson, and two sisters, Elizabeth Lotter and Edna Porter.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Bettina Marple of Elizabethtown and one daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Billy C. Milby of Campbellsville. Four grandchildren, Matthew Marple, Alicia Phoutharansy, Gidget Stubbs and Earl Milby, seven great-grandchildren, Brooke and Morgan Marple, Aubree and Lucas Phoutharansy, Klein Stubbs, Blake and Hannah Milby.
Graveside services for Mrs. Marple were held at 11 AM Saturday at the Brookside Cemetery.
Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Geneva Raffety of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Benton Green and Mattie Watson Green, was born April 18, 1921 in Green County, Kentucky. She died at 11:41 A.M., Sunday, April 8, 2012 in Hodgenville. Age: 90
She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church.
She united in marriage to Earl Raffety February 15, 1941. He preceded her in death January 26, 2008.
She is survived by one daughter, Joyce Rafferty of Campbellsville; two granddaughters: Melinda King and husband, James and Kim McVay
of Campbellsville; seven great-grandchildren: Brittany King of Greensburg, Ian King, Seth King, Micah King, Chloe King, Brayden McVay and Brianna McVay of Campbellsville; one niece, Patricia Jenson and husband, Carl of Virginia, one nephew, Ronald Torstrick and wife, Susie of Louisville and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister, Richard Green, Odell Green and Elsie Torstrick.

MARY SHIVELY MARCUM
Mary Shively Marcum of Campbellsville, daughter of the late William Henry Shively and Florence Erma Colvin Shively was born in Marion County, Kentucky, September 20, 1923. She died at 6:30 P.M., Friday, April 6, 2012 in Campbellsville. Age: 88
She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
She was a retired cafeteria worker in the Marion County School System.
She united in marriage to Joseph “Bennie” Marcum July 6, 1945. He preceded her in death January 9, 1983.
She is survived by one daughter and two sons and spouses: Joyce and Sam Abell, Joseph Henry and Brenda Faye Marcum, and Donnie and Pat Marcum of Campbellsville; six grandchildren: Kevin Abell, Scott Abell, Tammy Abell, Joseph James Marcum, Melinda Marcum, and John Lewis Marcum; eleven great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by one son, Ronnie Marcum May 11, 1953 and two brothers: Charles Henry Shively and Thomas Henry Shively.
