Katie Pyles of Elk Horn, daughter of the late Kenneth Pyles and Eula Grant Pyles, was born October 4, 1942, inAdair County,Kentucky. She died at 7:59 P.M., Monday, July 4, 2011 inLexington. Age: 68
She professed faith in Christ and attended Knifley Full Gospel Tabernacle.
She was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter: Marshall Ray Sneed and wife, Joyce of Columbia, Thomas Sneed and wife, Shelly of Knifley and Teresa Shepherd Hill and husband, Clyde of Americus, Georgia; two grandsons: Ryan Sneed of Columbia and Levi Sneed of Knifley; one great-granddaughter, Kaylee Brooke Sneed; two brothers and five sisters: Terry Lee Pyles of Amarillo, Texas, Jeffrey Pyles and wife, Paula of Greensburg, Rita Smith and husband Larry of Columbia and Barbara Flatt and Bernadine Drake of Columbia, Betty Jo Kearney and husband, Larry of Campbellsville and Patricia Wong and husband, Irvin of Hanford, California; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister: Lyndal Pyles and Cindy Rowe.

Marsha Kay Benningfield of Ocala, Florida, formerly of Campbellsville and Sparta, Tennessee, daughter of Eldon Benningfield and Judy Sapp Benningfield, was born March 4, 1961 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 5:28 P.M., Saturday, July 2, 2011 in Ocala. Age: 50
She had professed faith in Christ.
She worked in real estate and other sales positions.
She had a fun loving spirit, a ready smile and a great sense of humor; she loved spending time with her family and friends doing water sports, snow skiing and especially, performing in numerous plays at the Ocala Civic Theater.
She united in marriage to Jim Haston January 28, 1989.
Besides her husband, Jim Haston of Ocala, Florida, she is survived by her parents, Eldon and Judy Benningfield of Campbellsville; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Sam and Nancy Benningfield of Sparta, Tennessee and Ron and Laura Benningfield of Campbellsville; one nephew and three nieces: Dustin Benningfield and wife, Anna, Leah Benningfield of Sparta, Tennessee and Jilly and Chloe Benningfield of Campbellsville; two great nieces, Sadie Belle Benningfield and Emmie Benningfield; several aunts and uncles and many other relatives and friends.

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. (AMW) – A Green County teenager drowned on the Fourth of July, exactly one year following the last drowning to occur in Taylor County.
Daniel Cody Matney, 14, was pulled from the Green River shortly before 8 a.m. ET and pronounced dead at the scene by Taylor County Coroner Terry Dabney.
