Maxine Smith, 88

Maxine Smith , age 88 , of Milder Creek Road , Campbellsville, died Monday, June 27, 2011 at the Golden Living Nursing
Home in Greensburg after an illness.

She is survived by one son, Mike Smith of Campbellsville, four step daughters and spouses, Joyce and Truman McMahan of
Campbellsville, Judy and Danny Mann of Mannsville, Carolyn and Donnie Curry of Nashville, and Ina & Joey Edwards of Horse Cave, Ky., several grandchildren, several  great grandchildren, one brothers, Richard Keltner of Columbia,two nephews and one niece, Ricky & Terry Keltner of Columbai and Becky Boles of Glasgow.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11AM, Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Shiloh Cemetery.

Family request visitation 5-8 PM, Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home.

Maurice Hardesty, Age 83

Maurice Hardesty of Louisville, formerly of Campbellsville, son of the late Alford “Pete” Hardesty and Ethel Bowman Hardesty, was born September 8, 1927 in Marion County, Kentucky.  He died at 6:50 A.M, Saturday, June 25, 2011 in Louisville. 

Age:   83 

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Muldraugh Hill Baptist Church.

He was a retired employee of International Harvester and a farmer.

He united in marriage to Iva Richerson October 28, 1946.

Besides his wife, Iva Hardesty of Louisville, he is survived by one daughter and one son:  Diann Johnson of Louisville and Randall Hardesty and fiancée, Sandra Yaste of Bardstown; four grandchildren:  Angela Benningfield Harrison and husband, Bo, Lisa Benningfield, David Hardesty and Randall Gene Hardesty of Louisville; five great-grandchildren:  Austin Dale Harrison, Shelbie Diann Harrison, Amber Harrison, Tammy Yaste and William Yaste; one brother, R. C. Hardesty of Louisville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Donna Jean Hardesty and one sister, Helen Wise Spurling.

Terry Wayne Benningfield, Age 51

Terry Wayne Benningfield of Campbellsville, son of Lyndon Benningfield and Naomi Page Benningfield, was born May 17, 1960, in Taylor County, Kentucky.  He died at 5:06 A.M., Saturday, June 25, 2011 in Campbellsville.  Age: 51

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of St. Andrew United Methodist Church.

He had been employed as a semi-truck driver with Allied Systems and Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville. 

He united in marriage to Donna Kaye Wood September 19, 1986.

Besides his wife, Donna Kaye Benningfield of Campbellsville, he is survived by one son and one daughter:  Ryan Adam Benningfield and Jennifer Kaye Benningfield of Campbellsville; his parents:  Lyndon and Naomi Benningfield of Campbellsville; one brother and one sister:  Roger Benningfield and wife, Patti of Campbellsville and Peggy Slone and husband, Andy of Lexington; mother-in-law, Barbara Wood Pike of Campbellsville; nine nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
