Roca Rice

Roca Rice of Campbellsville, daughter of the late John Walker Gabehart and Minnie Del Smith Gabehart, was born January 28, 1919, in Taylor County, Kentucky.  She died at12:40 P. M., Wednesday, June 15, 2011 in Radcliff.     Age:   92

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Mannsville United Methodist Church.

She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom.

She united in marriage to Edwin L. Rice February 10, 1944.  He preceded her in death February 25, 1997.

She is survived by a daughter, Marsha Gail Cecil of Elizabethtown; one grandson, Eric Cecil and wife, Katy of Mt. Sherman; two great-grandchildren:  Elena Cecil and Elise Cecil; one sister, Delilah Jones of Fairfield, Ohio; one brother-in-law, Paul Forbeck of Elmhurst, Illinois and two sisters-in-law, Polly Gabehart of Campbellsville and Carolyn Gabehart of Harrodsburg; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

She was also preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters:  W. Del Gabehart September 4, 1987, Ralph W. Gabehart April 17, 1989, Ernest S. Gabehart December 22, 1984, Weldon Gabehart May 23, 1983, Samuel Creel Gabehart October 25, 1931, Hubert R. Gabehart February 21, 2011, Tommie Forbeck October 22, 2003 and Catherine Dabney July 22, 1998.

Person Ran Over by Vehicle

On June 15th of 2011 at approximately 2:12 officers rom the Campbellsville Police Department along Campbellsvile Taylor County Rescue Squad responded to 115 East Walnut Street to a call of a person that had been run over by a vechicle. Thirty-four year old Audra Graham of Campbellsville advised that her vechicle quit running in her driveway. When she got out, the vechicle rolled backwards with passengers still inside. Graham was able to turn the steering wheel to keep the vechicle from striking a house. As the vechicle turned it rolled over top of her. She was transported to Taylor Regional Hospital. The other passengers were not injured.

Mitchell Bright

Mitchell Bright of Campbellsville, son of the late William C. Bright and Gladys Marie Grant Bright, was born May 4, 1959, in Taylor County, Kentucky.  He died at 9:20 P.M., Tuesday, June 14, 2011 in Campbellsville.   Age:  52

He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Yuma Baptist Church.

He was employed as a carpet layer.

Besides his wife, Jeannie Bright, he is survived by one son, Dustin Mitchell Bright and special friend, Shaelynn Winkle of Campbellsville; two brothers and two sisters:  Eddie Bright and wife, Brenda and Beth Wood and husband, Curtis of Elk Horn, Melody Tucker and husband, Rocky of Columbia and Clifton Bright and wife, Judy of Virginia, Illinois; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
