Bruce Rule, of Elk Horn, son of the late George Rule and Sarah Jane Parker Rule, was born June 10, 1954, in Decatur, Illinois. He went to be with the Lord at 7:57 A.M., Wednesday, March 14, 2018 in Elk Horn as the result of an automobile accident. Age: 63
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Zion Church of God where he had recently been leading the singing for a short time.
He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force.
Bruce was salesman with Backyard World in Campbellsville and had owned a dental lab for more than forty years in Orlando, Florida.
As the saying goes, “he never met a stranger”; Bruce spoke to everyone he encountered just as if he already knew them. This often opened the door for him to minister to people about the Lord, whom he loved so very much.
He united in marriage to Carol Robinson July 13, 1991.
Besides his wife, Carol Rule of Elk Horn, he is survived by four daughters and four sons: Jennifer Yonkers and husband, Jason of Rhinelander, Wisconsin, Nathan Rule and wife, Jen and Jamie Rodriguez and husband, Gus of Orlando, Florida, Dylan Townsley and wife, Donna of Riverview, Florida, Jessica Noe and husband, Tim of Sarasota, Florida, Bryan Rule of Campbellsville, Clayton Rule of Lexington and Lindsey Rule of Campbellsville; seven grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Paula and Dr. Brad Arenz of Orlando, Florida; two nephews and one niece and many other relatives and friends.
