Bertrom H. Sneed, 80
Bertrom H. Sneed, 80, of Campbellsville, died Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Baptist Health Louisville. He was retired from the Brown Williamson Tobacco Company where he had worked for over 30 years. Born in Adair County, KY to the late Hershel and Maggie Sneed, he later moved to Macon, GA where he lived for several years before returning to Kentucky and settling in Campbellsville. He had served in the US Army and was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.
He married Mary Jo Wooley on July 14, 1956. To this union were born five children, Bertrom Sneed and his wife, Carol of Macon, GA, Debra Johnson and her husband Wayne of Louisville, Steven Sneed and his wife, Leda of Macon, GA, Peggy Rigdon and her husband, Greg of Campbellsville and Shelby Sneed and his wife, Andrea of Macon, GA. Also surviving are sisters, Virginia Jones and Montry Harris and her husband, Bill, all of Greensburg; a sister-in-law, Faye Sneed, of Greensburg; 12 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Claves L. Sneed and a grandson, Matthew Scott Sneed.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home, Campbellsville with burial to follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, April 5th and from 2 to 6 pm Sunday, April 6th at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.
