Marian Clair Parker, age 77

Marian Clair Parker, 77 years, 6 months, 12 days of age, died Monday, May 21, 2018 at Baptist Medical Center South in Jacksonville, Florida.

Marian was born in Jacksonville, Florida on November 9, 1940 the daughter of the late James Edward, Sr. and June Della Richardson Weeks.  Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Henderson, three brothers-in-law, Harlin Parker, Allen Parker and Howie Hodgson and two sisters-in-law, Iona White and Denise Weeks.

She married Ronald Evan Parker and they would have celebrated their 42nd Wedding Anniversary on July 10th of this year.     She was a talented artist, loved helping the needy, loved to fish and play golf and never met a stranger.    Prior to retiring she had worked as an Administrative Assistant and was of the Catholic faith.

Besides her husband Ron, she is survived by six children, a son Christopher Johnson and companion Jamie, and son Matthew Johnson, both of Jacksonville, a daughter Catherine Doty and husband David of Bucks County, PA, a daughter, Shannon Agosta and husband Craig of Mt. Holly, NC, a son Kevin Parker of Mannsville, and a son Anthony Parker and wife Jessica of Whidbey Island, WA.   Also surviving are her siblings, Jackie Hodgson of Green Cove, FL, Debbie Wiggins and husband Jeff of Jacksonville, Jim Weeks and wife Jane of Easley, SC, a brother-in-law, Johnnie Parker and wife Regina of Elk Horn, four sisters-in-law, Burma Wheeler, Betty Parker and Gerrie Parker all of Campbellsville and Patsy Riggs of Chicago, IL.   Also surviving are nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 25th at 11:00 at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with The Rev. Fr. Saju Vadakumpadan officiating with Rev. Clay Wheeler assisting.   Burial will follow in the Green River Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery with bearers being Stephanie Francis, Mary Wheeler, Johnnie Lewis Parker, Bill Logan Parker, Chris Parker and Brian Tucker.

The family request visitation on Thursday evening, May 24, 2018 between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.
