Ernie Wayne Burris
Ernie Wayne Burris of Campbellsville, the son of the late Ray Burris and Dimple Corbin Burris, was born May 12, 1953, in New Castle, IN, and departed this life on October 7, 2026, in Campbellsville. He was 73 years of age.
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Campbellsville First Church of God. He was a retired employee of Fruit of The Loom where he worked in the bleach house and was an electrician. He enjoyed golf and mowing his and his daughters yards, hanging out at his brother Michael’s muffler shop while talking to his “bleach house buddies”.
He is survived by his wife Donna Gilbert Burris of Campbellsville, and one daughter, Dana Parson, also of Campbellsville along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter in infancy, LeeAnn Burris, two brothers, Michael Burris, Ronnie Burris, and one sister Linda Jeffries.
Funeral Service: Monday, October 12, 2026 at 1:00 PM with burial to follow in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
Bro. Evan Tedder will officiate.
Visitation: Monday, October 12, 2026 from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
