Virginia “Jenny” Frost, age 56

frost, jenny 2Virginia “Jenny” Colyer Frost, age 56, of Columbia died unexpectedly Wednesday at her home.

Jenny was born August 19, 1958 to Dewey and Henrietta Coomer Colyer in Cincinnati, Ohio.  She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, crafts, gardening and most of all being, “Nanny”.  For some time she worked at Wal-Mart and attended Mt. Zion Church of God.

Besides her parents, Jenny was preceded in death by a daughter, Ellen Beams; a granddaughter, Alyssa Henrietta Beams; a brother Darrel Colyer and a sister, Theresa Saxton.

She is survived by her husband, Lucky Frost; two sons, James Frost and his wife, Amy of Clarksville, TN and Robert Frost, of Fairfield, OH; six grandchildren, Cody Hale Bowling, Jonathan Daniel Beams, Jaden Frost, Briley Frost, Preston Frost and Hayleigh Frost and three brothers and a sister, Mark Colyer, Dewey Colyer and Vincent Colyer and Ruby Kane, all of the Cincinnati, OH area

Funeral service will be held at 11 am Tuesday at Mt. Zion Church of God with burial in the Bethel Cemetery in Russell County.

The family request visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home in Campbellsville.

Otha “Lonesome” Ingram, age 73

ingram, othaOtha “Lonesome” Ingram, age 73, of Campbellsville died Thursday, November 13, 2014 in Campbellsville.

He was born in the Coburg community of Adair County, to the late Cecil and Louise Bridgewater Ingram.

He retired from Parker-Kalon and was a member of Bethel AME Church where he served as treasurer and steward.

Besides his parents, Lonesome was preceded in death by his brother and sisters, Elwood Ingram, George Cecil Ingram, Claudius White, James White, Lula Scott White, Susie Smith White and Shirley McKay.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Ingram; two daughters, Shelia Nuckols and her husband, Paul and Melissa Ingram; a sister, Mary Lee and her husband Wallace, all of Campbellsville; seven grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with burial in the Miller Cemetery.

The family request visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.

Mary R. Baise, age 86

Vintage Perfume VialMary R. Baise, age 86, of Campbellsville, died Monday, November 10, 2014 at Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville.

Mary was born September 19, 1928 in Columbia, Kentucky to the late Rollin and Trannie Russell Murrell.  A retired Registered Nurse, she retired from Taylor Regional Hospital and was a member of the Kentucky Nursing Association.  She was a member of Campbellsville Christian Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Besides her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband Howard Clint Baise; a son, Ronald Howard Baise; a brother, Tommie Murrell and a brother-in-law, Glenn Keen.

She is survived by her son, Ed Baise and his wife, Barbara of Campbellsville; a sister, Montra Keen, of Columbia; a sister-in-law, Barbara Murrell, of Columbia, three grandchildren; Brittany Richey and her husband, Blake, of Bowling Green, Bryan Baise and his wife, Danielle, of Louisville and Andrew Baise and his wife, Sarah or Campbellsville and 6 great-grandchildren, Layton Richey, Mady Baise, Luke Richey, Collin Baise, Emaline Richey and Olivia Baise.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home in Campbellsville with Bro. Paul Patton officiating.  Burial will follow in the Haven Hill Cemetery, Columbia.

The family request visitation from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home.

Roxie was born December 31, 1931 in Taylor County to the late Ernest and Eva Shofner Cash.  She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Ernest Lawson and second husband, Richard Rakes; a daughter Mary Ruth Haggerty and her brothers, Earl Cash and Shively Cash.

She was a member of the Robinson Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children, Betty Fowler, of Bradfordsville, Jackie Lee Lawson, of Campbellsville, Judy Tungate and her husband, Glenn of Campbellsville, Clemmie James Lawson, of Elk Horn, Rosie Carol Legan, of Columbus, IN, Keith Lawson and his wife, Sharon of Campbellsville, Brenda Sue Rakes of Campbellsville, Charlotte Wethington and her husband, Larry of Campbellsville and Jeannie Colvin of Campbellsville;  two brothers, Lindsey Shofner of Clarkson, KY and Ernest Cash and his wife Barbara of Crestwood, KY and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 5, 2014 by Bro. Fred Miller at the Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with burial in the Robinson Creek Cemetery.  Serving as pallbearers will be Jackie Lawson, Justin Wethington, Andrew Rakes, Robert Rakes, Mark Lawson, Nick Neville, Derrick Curtsinger and Tommy Dotson.

She was born on July 11, 1935, in Taylor County to the late, Elijah and Mabel Graham Johnson.  She was also preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Douglas Johnson and a sister, Frances Davenport.

Barbara was a retired hairdresser and a member of Green River Memorial Baptist Church where she served as the pianist and organist.

She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Newcomb, two sons, Lyle Newcomb and his wife Diann, and Eric Newcomb, all of Campbellsville; two grandchildren, Wyatt Ethan Newcomb and Jonathan Oliver Newcomb; three brothers, Bill Allen Johnson and James Wesley Johnson, of Marseilles, IL and Emmett Johnson, of Rogers, AR and two sisters, Dorothy Craig, of Campbellsville and Lois Burke, of Rochelle, IL.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Lyon-DeWitt-Berry Funeral Home with Bro. Jamie Bennett officiating.  Burial will follow in Green River Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery.
