Walter “Blue Moon” Cox

Walter (BlueMoon) Cox, age 73, of Lowell Avenue, Campbellsville, died Tuesday in Campbellsville after
a sudden illness.

 He was the son of the late Alva and Reatha Cox.

                         He is survived by his wife, Juanita Garrett Cox, two daughters and their significant others, Dorothy Faye Tungate and Sonny Bagby, Doris Jean Dobson and Mark Henderson all of Campbellsville, one grand-daughter whom he raised, April Faye Kelsay. Five other grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren also survive along with four brothers and two sisters, William Sanford Cox of Danville, Clellan and Cecil Cox both of Lebanon Virgil Cox and Mary Lou Cox Durham both of Campbellsville and Frances Cox Ritchie of Georgetown.

          Funeral services for Mr. Walter (BlueMoon) Cox will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Tallow Creek Cemetery.

          Sister Anna Overstreet and Bro. Brian Rafferty, officiating.

          The family request visitation from 5 to 8 PM Wednesday at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home.

Effie Irene Humphress

Effie Irene Humpress,age 79 of Hoskins Avenue, died Thursday, November 24, 2011 at her residence.

 She is survived by her husband, Alan Humphress , one son Alan Humpress, Jr. & Significant other Brenda Metcalf of Campbellsville, four daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara & Eddie Abell of Casey Creek, Moveta and Ray Keltner of Marion County, Annette and Greg Price of Campbellsville, Jackie and Clayton Tucker of Knifley, twelve grandchildren, nineteen
great grandchildren , one brother, Martin Hornback of Sonora and one Sister, Ann Nall of Sonora.

                    She was preceded  in death by her one son Michael Shannon Humphess on January 14, 2006.

          Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM. Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in  Lebanon National Cemetery.

          Family request visitation 5 to 8 PM, Monday, November 28, 2011 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home.

Janice Jeffries, age 68, of Hustonville, formerly of Taylor County, died Wednesday November 23,
2011, at Ephriam McDowell Hospital in Danville after an illness.

 She was the daughter of the late G. S. & Lucille Stayton.  She was an  former employee of Tillits Uniforms at
Stanford Kentucky.

          She is survived by her husband, Shirley Jeffries of Hustonville, one son, Joey Jeffries of  Hustonville, three brothers, Lowell Stayton of Oklahoma, Larry Stayton of Elkhorn, Dale Stayton, of Knifley, one sister, Phyllis Wilson of Elkhorn.

          Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 28, 2011 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Harden Cemetery.

          Henry Archie (H. A.) English , Jr. age 79 of San Antonio, Texas, formerly of Taylor County died  November 21, 2011 in San Antonio, Texas after an illness.

          He was the son of the late Henry Archie and Zelma English.  He was preceded in death by his first wife Glenda English and olne broher Norvell English.

          He is survived by his wife, Barbara English,  of Texas, three sons and two daughters-in-law, Todd and Kathy English, of Campbellsville, Wynn English of Lexington, and Greg & Marna English of Louisville, four grandchildren Randy English  of Lexington, Jake & Hannah English of Louisville , Amanda Richerson of Campbellsville, one great-grandchild CarterRicherson, one sister, Janelle Ruple of Texas.

          Graveside services will be conducted at  10:00 AM, Monday, November 28, 2011 at Campbellsville Memorial Garden Chapel.

          Family request visitation at 9:30AM, Monday November 28, 2011 at the Campbellsville Memorial Garden Chapel.
