Overstreet, age 59, of Saloma Road, Campbellsville died Friday, May 24, 2002 at the Metzmeier Nursing Home after an illness.Mr. Overstreet was the son of the late Thelbert Overstreet of Adair County. He is a member of the New Bethlehem Southern Baptist Church in Larue County and a retired employee of the Fruit Of The Loom. He was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister, William Overstreet andWanda Sue Crockett.Mr. Overstreet is survived by his wife, Carol Hardwick Overstreet, one son and daughter, Benny Ray Overstreet of Elizebethtown and Katrina Dotson, his mother Gladys Overtreet of Campbellsville, three grandchildren, Chasity, Ashley and Erica Overtreet, three brothers, Dean and Terry Overtreet both of Campbellsville and Charles Overtreet of Kansas. Several nieces and nephewsalso survive along with a host of friends.Funeral services for Mr. J. B. Overtreet were conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May26, 2002 at the Lyon-DeWitt Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Larue County.Brother Thomas Downey officiated.
