John Bruce Carter, Age 73

John Bruce Carter of Campbellsville, Kentucky, son of the late Veachel and Mary Anne Carter was born November 29th 1949 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 7:13 a.m. July 19th, 2023 at Norton Hospital Hospice Center of natural causes. Age 73

Bruce professed his faith in Christ and was happy to go to Heaven. He loved visiting with family, going fishing and spending time in his yard. He is survived by his daughters Jennifer (Michael) Hronek of Newport, Kentucky and Elizabeth Carter of Bowling Green, Kentucky; grandchildren Milena and Noah Hronek; brother Steven (Becky) Carter. Bruce was proceeded in death by his brother Chad Carter.

We are having a celebration of life gathering at the Green River Tailwater Picnic Pavilion (off Hwy 55) November 4th from 1:00 to 3:00pm. All friends and family welcome.

Taylor County Man Arrested Following Pursuit

(Campbellsville, KY.) – A Taylor County man was arrested Friday, February 19th at approximately 2:26 PM EDT on Poe Young Road following a pursuit that began on KY 527. Tpr. Logan Smith observed a Pontiac Grand Am with expired registration plates and an unrestrained passenger. When he attempted to stop the vehicle, the operator fled. The pursuit ended 10 miles west of Campbellsville on Poe Young Road when the Grand Am became stuck in a muddy field.

JOSE ROLANDO ALFARO

Jose Rolando Alfaro of Campbellsville, son of Luis Armando Alfaro and Elvira Victoria Alfaro, was born in Honduras August 6, 1973. He died Sunday, March 16, 2014 in El Playon, Comayagua, Honduras. Age: 40

He professed faith in Christ and was of the Pentecostal faith.

Besides his wife, Bessy Alfaro, he is survived by one son and one daughter: Rolando Alfaro and Sheila Alfaro of Honduras; his parents, Luis Armando Alfaro and Elvira Victoria Alfaro of Honduras; three brothers and one sister: Oscar Alfaro and wife, Tammy of Campbellsville, Elvin “Elby” Alfaro and wife, Shawn of Knifley, Henry Alfaro and wife, Ieta of Honduras and Meradys Alfaro of Texas; several nieces and nephews, including Samantha Alfaro, Jordan Alfaro and Gabriel Alfaro.

He was preceded in death a brother, Darwin Alfaro.
