James W. Durham of Smith Ridge Road, Campbellsville, son of the late Rollie Durham and Ella Williams Durham, was born March 19, 1922, in Bell County, Kentucky. He died at 6:45 A.M., Saturday, June 1, 2002, in Lexington. Age: 80.He had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the South Campbellsville Baptist Church.He was a retired truck driver. He was a veteran of World War II, having served his country in the United States Army.He united in marriage to Estell Partin March 26, 1946.Besides his wife, Estell Partin Durham of Smith Ridge Road, Campbellsville, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Rev. Jim and Sue Durham and Mike and Sandy Durham of Campbellsville; five grandchildren: Kevin Lee Durham and Jamie Sue Durham of Campbellsville, Bobbie Kaye Gaines of Lexington, Tommy O. Durham of Somerset, and Misty Lee Warren of Mt. Sherman; seven great-grandchildren: Kelly Michael Durham and Phil Durham of Campbellsville, Heather Nicole Martin, Tyler Wayne Martin and Tiffany Michelle Martin of Lexington, Austin Durham of Bowling Green, and Natalie Michelle Warren of Mt. Sherman; three brothers and three sisters: Robert Durham of Glen Estes, OH, Lucy Taylor of Lexington, Mary Ruth Cook of Louisville, Hannah Gorby of Atlanta, John Sherman Durham of Corbin, and Willie Frank Durham of Taswell, TN; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by one grandson: Michael David Durham on May 4, 1977; one sister and one infant brother: Ruby Warren and Clayton Durham.
