Vera Pike Long of Beechwood Drive Campbellsville, daughter of the late Marcus Pike and Addie Antle Pike was born January 13, 1910, in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 11:15 A.M., Monday, June 3, 2002, in Campbellsville. Age: 92.She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir for over fifty years.She was a teacher in the Campbellsville Independent School System for more than forty three years.She united in marriage to James Long who preceded her in death.She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Lynette and Harry Newcomb of Campbellsville, one granddaughter, Angela Newcomb England and her husband, James Edward England Jr., several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.She was also preceded in death by one son, Johny Long and five sisters and three brothers: Alva Richardson, Coy Pike, Ann Pike Hartfield, Virgie Pike Harden, Walter Pike, Pauline Pike Netherland, Lola Clark and Asia Pike.FUNERAL SERVICES: 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 3rd, at the Parrott Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Rev.
