J. P. Jardine, 78, of 712 Cottage Court in Campbellsville, died Monday, June 17, 2002 in Campbellsville.He was a retired Music Professor of Campbellsville University and Bluefield College and the former Minister of Music of Campbellsville Baptist Church.He was the son of the late Robert John and Goldie Brown Jardine of Douglas, Georgia.He is survived by Dan and Linda Hayes, Adam and Melinda Hayes, Amy and Jerry Colvin all of Campbellsville; Dr. Breece and Julie Hayes of Liberty; one brother and sister-in-law, Adrian and Frances Jardine of Douglas, Georgia; one nephew, Andrew Jardine; two nieces, Luellen Nissen and Mary Elizabeth Dowling; a vast number of former students, former colleagues and friends. He was preceded in death by one brother, Dumar Jardine and a nephew Dumar Jardine Jr.Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, June 21, 2002 at the Parrott Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville with Jim Clark, Tom Ed Moore, Jerry Naff, Jay Padgett and Dr. J. Chester Badgett assisting in the service.
