James W. Smith, a retired farmer, of Old Lebanon Road, Campbellsville, son of the late Andrew Smith and Mary Perkins Smith, was born in Hart County, Kentucky, August 3, 1911. He died at 5:50 A.M., Wednesday, October 9, 2002, in Campbellsville. Age: 91He had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Basptist Church. He was a member of the Mystic Tie Masonic Lodge #450 FAM.He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Bland Smith of Old Lebanon Road, Campbellsville; two daughters: Norma Jean Long of Indianapolis and Judy Rinehart of Louisville; two step-sons: J. T. Bland of Campbellsville and Michael Bland of Maryville, Tennessee; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandson; two sisters and one brother: Gladys Pennington of Campbellsville, Faye Yankey of Springfield, and Tommy Smith of Lebanon; several other relatives and many friends.He was also preceded in death by one son in infancy, Bobby Smith; and one sister and two brothers.
