Aileen Beams

Aileen Beams, of the Mac Community in Taylor County, daughter of the late Alfred Thomas Underwood and Gertrude Bloyd Underwood, was born April 13, 1923, in Larue County, Kentucky. She died at 12:34 P.M., Tuesday, December 3, 2002, in Campbellsville. Age: 79.She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School Teacher.She was retired from the Fruit of the Loom Company after some thirty-five years of service.She united in marriage to Lionel C. Beams December 22, 1944. He preceded her in death on December 2,1993.She is survived by four sons and two daughters and their spouses: Charles and Velda Beams of Puerto Rico, Rita and Nolan Underwood, Terry and Sharon Beams, Alois and Johnny Phillips and Bobby and Carolyn Beams of Campbellsville and Brian and Sonia Beams of Taylorsville; twelve grandchildren: Trenton Beams of Florida, Karla Beams and Tammy Spencer of Tennessee, Beth Gannon of North Carolina, Tina Simpson of Georgetown, Dee Dee Phillips of Lexington, Sarah Beams of Taylorsville, Eric Phillips, Jennifer Ward, Casey Ennis, Trina McDavitt and Valerie Blue of Campbellsville; seventeen great-grandchildren: Bryanna and Allyson Gannon, Taylor, Clay, and Dalin Spencer, Blake and Hunter Simpson, Lydia Whitley, Lakeisha and Dalton Wilcoxson, Jacob, Jasmine and Jillian Ward, Lauren, Dylan, Aubrey, and Christian Blue; one brother and one sister, Russell Underwood of Buffalo and Mattie Cash of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Sue Beams August 1957, and three brothers and four sisters: Everett Underwood, Robert Underwood, Grant Underwood, Verna Fraze, Estelle Pepper, Gladys Gaddie, and Maude DeSpain.FUNERAL SERVICES: 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 7th, at the Parrott Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Bro.
