Herman C. Skaggs

Herman C. Skaggs of North L N Turnpike, Hodgenville, formerly of the Union Church Community, son of the late Plez Carter Skaggs and Nora Alice Thompson Skaggs was born August 1, 1919, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 5, 2003, at his home.Age: 83He had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Union Separate Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years. He was active in the music ministry and formerly held many singing schools.He was a farmer and blacksmith and shod horses. He united in marriage to Etha Mae Scott January 24, 1939. Besides his wife, Etha Mae Skaggs of North L N Turnpike, Hodgenville, he is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Ralph Morris of Louisville; one grandson and his wife, Gary and Nina Morris of Louisville and many other relatives and friends.He was also preceded in death by one brother, Willie R. Skaggs on May 15, 1996.FUNERAL SERVICES: 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 8th, at the Union Separate Baptist Church in Taylor County by Rev. Otis C. Skaggs, Rev. Twyman Davis and Rev. John A.
