Shelby Roberts
Shelby Roberts of South Central Avenue, Campbellsville, son of the late Elbert Roberts and Allie Hunter Roberts was born August 17, 1914 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 3:00 A.M., Sunday, July 27, 2003, in Campbellsville. Age: 88 He professed faith in Christ and attended the First Church of God. He was a retired employee of Fruit of The Loom.He united in marriage to Annie Eastridge, August 17, 1935. Besides his wife, Annie Roberts of South Central Avenue, Campbellsville, he is survived by two daughters: Marilyn Garner and Jewell Corbin of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Tommy Corbin of Campbellsville, Gina Wilber of Wagner, South Carolina and Stephanie Garner of Boston, Massachusetts; two great-grandchildren: Jennifer Garner of Campbellsville and Jamie Wilber of Lexington, South Carolina; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one son and three daughters: John Wesley Roberts, Norma Faye Roberts, Betty Lou Roberts and Bonnie Sue Roberts; two brothers and two sisters: Herman Roberts, Grover Roberts, Nellie Mae Roberts and Purnie Lou Roberts. FUNERAL SERVICES: 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 29th, at the Parrott Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Bro. Colin McDaniel and Bro. Brad Epperson.
