JAMES CECIL ROGERS

James Cecil Rogers, of Vintage Lane, Campbellsville, son of the late Ulis Lee Rogers and Ada Finn Rogers was born in Adair County, Kentucky January 17, 1927. He died at 11:42 P.M. Thursday, September 4, 2003 in Michigan due to an accidental fall. Age: 76 He professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of World War II having served his country in the United States Army. He was a retired employee of Klemp Metal and Grating Corporation in Chicago, Illinois. He united in marriage to Jean Cundiff December 24, 1948. Besides his wife, Jean Rogers, of Vintage Lane, Campbellsville, he is survived by five children: Robert Rogers of Wayland, Michigan, Lisa Mazzanti of Lombard, Illinois, Bonnie Gentry of Lake Village, Indiana, Thomas Lee Rogers of Orland Park, Illinois and James Michael Rogers of Dyer, Indiana; thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother: Hallie Scott of Cookeville, Tennessee, Elva Gabehart of Columbia, Kentucky and John Haskel Rogers of Gradyville, Kentucky; several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by seven brothers and four sisters: Ernest Rogers, Ogle Rogers, Harold Rogers, Lee Earl Rogers, Herman Rogers, Arvest Rogers, Louis Carl Rogers , Beatrice Scott, Stella Collins, Urene Murrell and Marie Kemp. FUNERAL SERVICES: 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 9th at the Parrott Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Rev. Ronnie Loy.
