Thomas Cox, a retired farmer of West Main Street, Campbellsville, son of the late Fletcher Cox and Bertha Wright Cox was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, April 18, 1927. He died at 8:27 P.M., Thursday, September 11, 2003, in Louisville. Age: 76 He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. He was a Veteran of World War II having served his country in the United States Army. He united in marriage to Elender Newton September 25, 1948. Besides his wife, Elender Cox of West Main Street, Campbellsville, he is survived by four children and their spouses: Roger and Sharon Cox of San Diego, Dr. Ben and Regina Cox, Carol Jones and Meme and Greg Tucker of Campbellsville; two sons- in-law, Robert Pickett and his wife, Rita and Chris Tucker of Campbellsville; seventeen grandchildren; one great-grandson; one sister: Fayetta Hill of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by two daughters: Fran Pickett on November 2, 1996, and Jane Tucker on August 5, 1998, and five siblings: Orville Cox, Merlin Cox, Granville Cox, Frances McCulloch and Lillywood Harris.
