Coy Cox
Coy Cox of Albertville, Alabama, formerly of Campbellsville, son of the late Ray Cox and Nora Hughes Cox, was born September 22, 1920, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, September 20, 2003, in Albertville, Alabama.Age: 82 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of World War II having served his country in the United States Army.He was a retired employee of Chess and Wymond Cooperage in Louisville.He united in marriage to Lou Anna Parrish November 8, 1941. She preceded him in death in 1974. He united in marriage to Joyce Hunt July 12, 1985.Besides his wife, Joyce Cox of Campbellsville, he is survived by two children, Sue and husband Billy Shirley of Albertville, Alabama, and Danny Dale and wife Cindy Cox of Louisville; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Vernith Parrish and Gusta Garrett of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two sons, Gary Keith Cox and William Larry Cox and five brothers and two sisters, Aaron A. Cox, Ed Cox, Roy Cox, Andy Cox, Howard Cox, Elizabeth Cox and Ida Belle Wilson.GRAVESIDE SERVICES: 11:00 A.M., Monday, September 22nd, at the Brookside Cemetery in Campbellsville by Rev. Troy Elmore with full Military Honors by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard
