Helen Melson
Helen Melson of Matthew Street, Campbellsville, daughter of the late Chester Tweedy and Virgie Furkin Tweedy, was born in Cumberland County, Kentucky September 17, 1914. She died at 11:45 A.M., Friday, September 19, 2003, in Campbellsville. Age: 89 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the St. Mark United Methodist Church.She united in marriage to E. H. Melson in 1936. Besides her husband E. H. Melson of Matthew Street, Campbellsville, she is survived by two sisters: Christine Burress of Ann Arbor, Michigan and Lottie Burchett of Columbia; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Archie Sue Melson in infancy, and three brothers, Marvin Tweedy, Tom Paul Tweedy and James Elford Tweedy.
