James Wesley Whitehead

Wesley Whitehead of McNeary Street, Campbellsville, son of the late Neal Whitehead and Elizabeth Wright Whitehead was born January 26, 1920, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 6:38 P.M., Monday, September 15, 2003, in Campbellsville. Age: 83 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Gilboa Baptist Church. He was a veteran of World War II having served his country in the United States Army. He was a retired painter and drywall hanger. He is survived by four daughters and two sons: Doris Jean Hoosier, Suzanne Dickens and Carol Porter of Campbellsville, James Obie Whitehead of Lebanon, Darlene Ferrell of Liberty and Bobby Neal Whitehead of Lima, Ohio; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; five sisters: Aileen Smith, Leola Moss, Doris Hoosier, and Mildred Moore of Campbellsville and Clemmie Atwell of Greensburg; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Juanita Whitehead; one grandson, Ronnie Lynn Porter and one sister, Elsie Weddle.
