Maurice Sallee
Maurice Gene Sallee of Handley Avenue, Campbellsville, son of the late William Arthur Sallee and Mary Anna Murrell was born September 21, 1930, in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 2:49 A.M., Sunday, January 11, 2004 in Louisville. Age: 73 He professed faith in Christ and attended the Greensburg Separate Baptist Church. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. He retired from the United States Air Force and Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville. He united in marriage to Sarah Stansell who preceded him in death October, 1984. He united in marriage to Emma Lee Allen who preceded him in death June, 2003. He united in marriage to Mary Bell Curry, August 11, 2003, who survives. Besides his wife, Mary Bell Sallee of Handley Avenue, Campbellsville, he is survived by six children: Maurice Edward Sallee of Elkhorn, Deborah Turner of Cane Valley, Sharon White and Danny Ray Sallee of Campbellsville, Sarah Harmon of Columbia, James Darrell Sallee of Frankfort; one step-son, Jerry Edwards of Greensburg; his step-mother, Ruth Sallee of Campbellsville; four grandchildren; one-step-grandchild; two step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandchild; seven brothers and sisters: Logan Sallee and Mary Elizabeth Vance of Greensburg, William E Sallee, Daymon Sallee, Jewell Cox and Lora Mae Dudgeon of Campbellsville, and Athol Milby of Summersville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one sister, Delores Bell Sallee in 1938.FUNERAL SERVICES: 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 13, 2004 at the Parrott Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Bro.
