JOE H. HARDIN
Joe H. Hardin of Raikes Hill Road, Elkhorn, son of the late Jack Hardin and Mary Murphy Hardin was born June 6, 1911 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 8:10 P.M., Tuesday, July 20, 2004 in Lebanon. Age: 93He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Merrimac United Methodist Church. He was a farmer and a retired employee of International Harvester in Louisville after twenty-five years of service. He was a member of the Merrimac Masonic Lodge #778 F AM. He united in marriage to Villa Malone February 21, 1940. She preceded him in death November 25, 1998.He is survived by three sons and two daughters: J. W. Hardin and his wife Linda of Elkhorn, Charles Hardin and his wife Kathy of Greenwood, Indiana, Michael Hardin of Louisville, Shirley Cheatham and her husband Frank of Campbellsville and Carole Cheatham and her husband Tom of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one sister, Clara Clarkson of Punta Gorda, Florida; many other relatives and friends.He was also preceded in death by one son, Harold Morris Hardin,July 15, 1970.
