Martha Coakley Carroll of River Bend, North Carolina, formerly of Campbellsville was born October 7, 1931 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died Tuesday, September 14, 2004 in North Carolina. Age: 72 She professed faith in Christ and was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of New Bern, North Carolina and a deacon within the Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.She is survived by her husband of fifty-one years, Retired Lt. Colonel Gerald Donaldson Carroll of River Bend, North Carolina; two daughters and one son: Susan Carroll Gleaton and her husband Vernon, and Pamela Carroll Lamanti of Lake Ridge, Virginia, and Gerald Anthony Carroll and his wife Heather of Woodbridge, Virginia; seven grandchildren: Jason Gleaton, Elizabeth Mathewson, Jessica, Cassandra and Nicholas Lamanti, Delaney and Keagan Carroll; four great-grandchildren; two sisters: Virginia Coakley McMahan and Ann Coakley DeSpain and her husband Joe of Campbellsville; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Carroll and his wife, Hilda of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends.
