Edith Sapp
Edith Cave Sapp of Pearl Avenue, Campbellsville, was born in Clay County, Kentucky, November 16, 1925. She died at 5:55 A.M., Sunday, November 7, 2004, in Campbellsville. Age: 78 She professed faith in Christ at an early age and was a charter member of Lowell Avenue Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School and was active in the church for many years.She was a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.She united in marriage to Thomas W. Sapp December 23, 1941. He preceded her in death April 9, 1998. She is survived by two sons and one daughter and their spouses: Tommy W. Sapp Jr. and Debbie, Michael L. and Shirley Sapp, and Sherri and Dr. James Angel of Campbellsville; ten grandchildren: Jason A. Sapp, Dawn M. Mardis, Dana M. Sapp, J. Ben Angel, John Thomas Angel, and Meredith L. Angel of Campbellsville, Dr. Christy M. Sapp of Lexington, Kevin Sapp of Atlanta, and Terry Keith Sapp and Jeffrey E. Sapp of Erlanger, KY; two great-grandchildren: Peyton A. Rucker and Dara M. Rucker of Campbellsville; one sister and two brothers and their spouses: Elizabeth and Phillip Becknell of Irvine, KY, R.B. and Frances Smith of Covington, and Carl Eddie and Judy Smith of Wellington, Ohio; seven sisters-in-law: Orene Richenburg, Margaret Ann Graybeal, Geneva Bright, Avis Carby, and Brenda Sapp of Campbellsville, Virgie Suell of Jeffersonville, IN, and Lucy Smith of Booneville, KY; several other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents: Lewis Mary Phillips Cave and Reuben Smith and Bertie Gray Lawson; one son, Terry N. Sapp on January 15, 1989; and one brother, Jimmie Smith on January 23, 2003.
