Melvin Ray Underwood of Old Mac Road, Campbellsville, son of the late Bennie Underwood and Lula Bloyd Underwood was bornJune 22, 1932 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 5:02 A.M., Thursday, November 11, 2004 in Campbellsville. Age: 72He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served his country honorably in the United States Army. He united in marriage to Gay Karnes October 9, 1959. Besides his wife, Gay Underwood of Old Mac Road, Campbellsville, he is survived by one son and one daughter and their spouses: Douglas Ray and Darrelyn Underwood and Lisa Ann and Bobby Kirtley; four grandchildren: Ashley Kirtley, LeAnna Kirtley, Megan Underwood and Ryan Underwood; one brother and his wife, Syndal and Edith Underwood, all of Campbellsville; many other relatives and friends.
