Herman L. Patton of South Clark Road, Campbellsville, son of the late Willie Patton and Ethel Brown Patton was born July 6, 1929 in Casey County, Kentucky He died at 9:00 P.M., Saturday, December 11, 2004 in Huntington, West Virginia. Age: 75 He professed faith in Christ and attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. He was a carpenter and enjoyed farming. He was employed at General Electric in Evendale, Ohio as a welder on jet engines for some thirty-five years.He united in marriage to Nora Garrett April 27, 1953. Besides his wife, Nora Patton of Campbellsville, he is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Gary and Mabel Patton of Rush, Kentucky; two grandchildren: Monica and James Howell of Concord, North Carolina, and Kyle Patton and his girlfriend, Jeni of Huntington, West Virginia; one great-grandson, James Logan Howell of Concord, North Carolina; one brother and five sisters: Dr. Paul W. and Carol Patton of Campbellsville, Hilda Ellis of Jamestown, Shirley and William Hansford of Liberty, Helen and Marvin Meredith and Wanda and Gary Fredrick of Cincinnati, and Thelma and Don Garcia of Fallbrook, California; several nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by one brother and two sisters: Nathaniel T. Patton, Dorothy Patton and Linda Sue Patton. FUNERAL SERVICES: 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at the Parrott Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Dr. James E. Jones and Dr. Paul W. Patton BURIAL: Salem Cemetery in Casey County with full military honors by the Casey County Veterans
