Marvin A. Elmore of Meadowcreek Road, Campbellsville, son of the lateEzra Elmore and Lillie Mae Akin Elmore was born October 31, 1919, in Green County, Kentucky. He died at 11:55 A.M., Saturday, March 26, 2005, in Campbellsville. Age: 85 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. He was a graduate of the Taylor County High School.He was a veteran of World War II having served his country honorably as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army and received the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, American Defense Service Medal, American Campaign Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. He united in marriage to Eloise Williams August 12, 1953. Besides his wife Eloise Williams Elmore of Campbellsville, he is survived by one sister, Mildred Long of Columbia; one sister-in-law, Peggy Elmore of Campbellsville; his mother-in-law, Lera Williams of Campbellsville; two nephews and one niece: Mike Elmore, Bonnie Greenawalt of Campbellsville and Jimmy Long of Columbia; one great-nephew and five great-nieces: Jessica Browning and Vanessa Elmore of Campbellsville, Brent Mershon of London, Susan Roberts of Richmond and Cindi Alexander and Cathy Akin of Columbia; two great-great- nephews and three great-great-nieces: Ben Bolden of Campbellsville, Shauna Akin and Brian Alexander of Columbia and Lindsey Roberts and Kalee Roberts of Richmond; several other relatives and many friends. He was also preceded in death by his son, Howard Ezra Elmore October 15, 1983, his brother, Mac Elmore August 30, 2000, and one great-niece, Gail Mershon Bolden February 7, 1999.
