Maxine Wilkerson
Maxine Wilkerson of Industrial Drive, Greensburg, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Vernon Jackson Shive and Estella Mae Patton Shive was born July 19, 1919 in Cumberland County, Kentucky. She died at 6:20 A.M., Monday, April 4, 2005 in Greensburg. Age: 85She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church. She united in marriage to Alvin Wilkerson October 2, 1937. He preceded her in death September 24, 1982. She is survived by one daughter, Wanda Rodgers of Greensburg; three grandchildren: William Joseph Close Jr. of Shepherd, Montana, John Alvin Close and his wife Megan and Nicholas Andrew Rodgers of Billings, Montana; four sisters and two brothers: Fern Carr and Gertrude Bennett of Louisville, Kathryn Rice, Rebecca Williams and Charles Shive of Campbellsville and Donnie Shive of Hodgenville; several nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Susan Wilkerson Grimsley November 21, 200 two sisters and three brothers: Regina Rose, Marjorie Shaheen, Larry Shive, Billy Shive and Bruce Shive. The body was cremated. Memorial services will be conducted at a later date. Parrott Ramsey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
