Nora Sprowles
Nora Sprowles of Woodruff Avenue, Louisville, formerly of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Wesley Sherman Shofner and Lillie Hedgespeth Shofner was born November 20, 1928 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 5:00 A.M., Friday, May 20, 2005 in Louisville. Age: 76 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Zion Separate Baptist Church.She united in marriage to Elmer Odell Sprowles September 30, 1948. He preceded her in death April 14, 1984. She is survived by one son and one daughter: Ronald Dale Sprowles Sr. and Phyllis Mae Shanks of Louisville; five grandchildren: Danielle Sprowles, Clarence Shanks Jr., Robert Dale Shanks and Ronald Dale Sprowles Jr. of Louisville and James Shanks of Bardstown; one brother, Thomas Shofner and his wife, Hazel and one sister, Lucy Skaggs of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends.
