James Lee Kearney
James Lee Kearney of Hobson Road, Campbellsville, son of the late William Kearney and Addie Radford Kearney was born April 10, 1926 in Green County, Kentucky. He died at 9:42 A.M. Sunday, May 22, 2005 in Louisville. Age: 79He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was a bookkeeper and farmer.He united in marriage to Catherine Philpott September 10, 1950. Besides his wife Catherine Kearney of Campbellsville, he is survived by two daughters and two sons: Patty Harrison and husband, David of Bowling Green, Jerry Kearney and Pam Weatherford and husband, David of Campbellsville and Harold Kearney and wife, Mary of Simpsonville; seven grandchildren: Adam Kearney and wife, Kelli of Lexington, Natalie Harrison of Gallatin, Tennessee, Leslie Kearney, Karen Weatherford and Janet Weatherford of Campbellsville and Sebastian Kearney and Cedric Kearney of Simpsonville; one brother and two sisters: Marvin Kearney of Plano, Illinois and Mary Davis and Mattie Lewis of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by one son, Timmy Kearney and six brothers and four sisters: Chester Kearney, George Kearney, Otis Kearney, Henry Kearney, Homer Kearney, William Kearney, Dollie Swafford, Cora Kearney, Lizzie Stubbs, and Annie Ruth Kearney.
