Charlie F. Roots, age 88, of Lincoln Avenue, Campbellsville, died Tuesday, June 28, 2005 at his residence after an illness.He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Nora Jane Acree Roots, three sisters, Catherine Kate Roots, Irene Maupin, and Rindie Malone.He is survived by his wife, Anna Shofner Roots of Campbellsville, two sons, Donnie Ray Roots of Campbellsville, Tommy Dean Roots of Versailles, two grandchildren, Shannon Roots and Kayla Dean Roots of Campbellsville, two brothers, Clarence Everette Roots of Louisville and James Earl Roots of Campbellsville.Funeral services for Mr. Charlie F. Roots will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 1, 2005 at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Lebanon National Cemetery with full military honors by the Marion County DAV.Rev.
