Lena Hoffer

Lena Hoffer of Pearl Ave, Campbellsville, formerly of Sebring, Florida, daughter of the late William Ray Rush and Bernice Gushert Rush was born December 9, 1920 in Mentone, Indiana. She died at 12:15A.M., Sunday, September 4, 2005 in Campbellsville. Age: 84. She had professed faith in Christ and was a member of St Johns United Methodist Church in Sebring, Florida. She was a member of the Highlands Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was a retired bookkeeper.She united in marriage to Forrest V. Hoffer, October 25, 1940. He preceded her in death, November 29, 2000. She is survived by one daughter and two sons and their spouses: Jane Anne and Max Sutton of Campbellsville, James Alan and Patricia Hoffer of Sebring, Florida, and Dennis Charles and Cindy Hoffer of New Columbia, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren; nine great- grandchildren; three sisters and three brothers: Ruth Ridgway and Mary Derry of Warsaw, Indiana, Carl Rush of Beaumont, Texas, Paul Rush of Syracuse, Indiana, Virginia Hight of Etna Green, Indiana and Donald Rush of Fort Wayne, Indiana; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Kenneth Hoffer and one brother, William Earl Rush. The body was cremated. Graveside services will be held at a later date in Indiana.Expressions of sympathy should take the form of donations to the Gideon Memorial Bible Plan.
