Josephine Close Cox
Josephine Close Cox of Louisville, a native of Campbellsville, daughter of the late John Frank Close and Sally Newcomb Close was born January 13, 1921 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died Thursday, September 22, 2005 after a brief illness in Louisville. She united in marriage to Granville R. Cox on November 18, 1944. He preceded her in death October 18, 1959.She is survived by two children and their spouses: Cindy and Jim Britt of Louisville and John and Diane Cox of Morehead; four granddaughters: Ashley Britt Redman of Louisville, Emily Britt Hahn of Newport Beach, California, Harper Close Cox of Hawaii and Sarah Cox Rowlands of Ashton, Virginia; one brother, Robert Close of Dallas, Texas, and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by two brothers: James Close and William Close. GRAVESIDE SERVICES: 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 23, 2005 at Lebanon National Cemetery by Dr. J.
