Joe C. Holt

Joe C. Holt of Smith Ridge Road, Campbellsville, son of the late Rufus Blaine Holt and Millie Frances Redman Holt, was born in Adair County, Kentucky, February 24, 1919. He died at 11:10 A.M., Saturday, July 8th, 2006, in Radcliff, Kentucky. Age: 87 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the South Campbellsville Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of Tennessee Gas Transmissions. He was a veteran of World War II, having served his Country honorably in the United States Army and was awarded the American Theater Ribbon, EAME Theater Ribbon with three Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal. He united in marriage to Margaret Brockman March 18, 1944. She preceded him in death September 29, 1996.He is survived by four daughters: Bobbie Jo Adams of Louisville, Wanda Farris and husband, Mike of Lebanon and Carol Viers and husband, Daniel and Sheena Mays and husband, Darrell of Campbellsville; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one sister and one brother: Hattie Thomas and Granville Holt of Bloomington, Indiana; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters: Elmer Holt, Marvin Holt, Lola Bowen, and Lou Vina Overstreet.
