Vesta Mullens Hatfield

Vesta Mullens Hatfield of Crawford Street, Campbellsville, Kentucky, formerly of New Richmond, West Virginia, daughter of the late James Chart Mullens and Cora Tilley Mullens was born October 20, 1911 in Pineville, West Virginia. She died at 5:40 P.M., Monday, February 12, 2007 in Lebanon. Age: 95 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of the First Baptist Church in New Richmond, West Virginia where she served as Sunday School teacher for sixty-five years. She united in marriage to James Lonnie Hatfield in January of 1935. He preceded her in death in November of 1955. She is survived by one son and one daughter: Rev. James Hatfield and wife, Betty of Campbellsville and Marie Abshire of Phoenix, Arizona; thirteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; one sister, Dixie Tilley of Princeton, West Virginia; several nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by two sons: Bill Hatfield in 1972 and Bob Hatfield in 1950; nine sisters and three brothers.
