Coy Rainwater
Coy Rainwater of Rose Street, Campbellsville, Kentucky, son of the late Haskel Rainwater and Minnie Ethel Barnett Rainwater was born November 8, 1923 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 11:10 A.M., Tuesday, February 27, 2007 in Campbellsville. Age: 83 He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of World War II having served his country honorably in the United States Navy. He was a barber for fifty-two years. He united in marriage to Elizabeth Allen October 16, 1948. She preceded him in death August 21, 1987. He is survived by three daughters: Colleen Bardin of Columbia, Tanya Onesti of Youngstown, Ohio and Teresa Penick of Greensburg; eight grandchildren: Sherri Blevins Hudson of Kingston Springs, Tennessee, Jeff Blevins of New Albany, Ohio, Chris Penick and Jamie Smith of Campbellsville, Brad Penick of Edmonton, Tara Onesti and Dana Onesti of Youngstown, Ohio and Michael S. Smith of Louisville; eight great-grandchildren; his step-mother, Dorothy Rainwater of Campbellsville; two brothers: Lewis Rainwater and Danny Thomas Rainwater of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by one step-son, Michael V. Smith, January 28, 1990.
