face=arial size=2William ldquo;Uncle Billrdquo; Underwood of John Goff Road, Summersville, son of the late Herbert Underwood and Lillie Shofner Underwood was born May 22, 1928 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at 12:09 A.M., Thursday, March 29, 2007 in Campbellsville. Age: 78 He professed faith in Christ and was of the Pentecostal faith. He was a retired farmer. He united in marriage to Norma Jean Crabtree who preceded him in death in 2006. He is survived by two sons and one daughter: Joe Underwood and Lillie Jean Smith of Summersville and Billy Underwood of Illinois; two grandchildren: Robbie Smith of Summersville and Brian Smith of Campbellsville; five great-grandchildren; one step-son, Michael Ray Forewright of Old Hickory, Tennessee; three sisters and two brothers: Mary Warren and Hazel Warren of Summersville, Katie Brown and Walter Underwood Jr. of Louisville and Fred Underwood of Buffalo; one half-brother, Lawrence Underwood of Campbellsville; one special niece, Susie Burton of Summersville and a special friend, Flore Mae English of Campbellsville; several other nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends.
