Boyer Jones
Boyer Jones, age 82, of Shearee Court, Campbellsville, died Friday April 27, 2007 at the University of Louisville Hospital after an illness.
He was born in Sano, Ky, to the late Corney Clyde and Flossie Mae Herron Jones. He was also preceded in death by half-brothers, Rollin, Paul and Toby Bothrope, and sisters, Mary Jo Jones and Blanche Jones.
Boyer played basketball for Campbellsville High School, was drafted into the United States Army where he served during WWII. Upon the ending of the war, he completed his service playing basketball for the US Army. He was chosen to play with the elite Army All-Star Team where he scored a record 56 points and was better known as
