Rosie Thompson
Rosie Thompson of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Charlie B. Lackey and Nellie Gibbons Lackey, was born December 31, 1936, in Cumberland County, Kentucky. She died at 3:20 P.M., Monday, August 27, 2007, in Lebanon. Age: 70 She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church. She was a former employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville. She united in marriage to Gilbert Thompson on December 18, 1954. Besides her husband, Gilbert Thompson of Campbellsville, she is survived by two daughters and three sons: Dennis Thompson and wife Lisa and Annette Thompson and husband Doug of Campbellsville, Victoria Pearl and husband Clifford of Florida, Greg Thompson and wife Cindy of Owensboro, and Jerome Thompson and Tammie of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister and four brothers: Sue Orsquo;Banion, Allen Lackey and John Lackey of Campbellsville, Lewis Lackey of Montgomery, Illinois and Hubert Lackey of Aurora, Illinois; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
