He died at 7:50 A.M., Friday, September 21, 2007 in Lebanon. Age: 88 size=3He professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church. size=3He united in marriage to Margaret Marie Gribbins April 13, 1940. She preceded him in death April 2, 2000. size=3He is survived by three daughters and three sons and spouses: Darell Cox and wife, Rebecca of Campbellsville, Betty Lowe and husband, Milford of Merrimac, Doug Cox of Mannsville, Linda Sue Hollon of Rockingham, North Carolina, Janet Caulk and husband, Lester, of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Garry Cox and wife, Rhonda, of Columbia; fourteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. size=3He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Libby M. Cox, January 19, 1998; one great-great-grandson, Thomas Wayne Porter August 11, 2007 and four brothers and three sisters: Elza Cox, L. B. Cox, Jolly Cox, Kenny Cox, Cassie Walters, Naomi Evans, and Maggie J.
