Pearl Pierce
Pearl Pierce, age 96, of Lowell Avenue, Campbellsville, died Friday, February 29, 2008 at Medco Nursing Home after an illness. She was the daughter of the late Luther P and Billie Belle Johnson Karnes. She was united in marriage to Carley Bob Ford in 1927 and he preceded her in death in 1930, she united in marriage to Pete Pierce in 1936 and he preceded her in death in 1995. She was also preceded in death by one son, William, five brothers, Richard Karnes, Charles Karnes, William Ross Karnes, Oliver Karnes and Allen Karnes, one sister Bessie Corbin. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Delora Ford, Johnie and Jackie Pierce all of Campbellsville, five grandchildren, three great grand children, one brother, Owen Karnes of Campbellsville, two half brothers, Robert Karnes of Elizabethtown and Malcolm Karnes of Louisville. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 AM, Monday, at the Lyon DeWitt Funeral Home with burial to follow in Brookside Cemetery. Bro. Dave Walters, officiating.
