Robert F. ldquo;Bobrdquo; Johnson of Campbellsville, son of the late Aubrey Johnson and Mary Campbell Johnson, was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, September 7, 1926. He died at 7:34 A.M., Thursday, September 4, 2008, in Campbellsville. Age: 81 He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the United States Marines and attaining the rank of Private First Class. He had professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Woodlawn Christian Church where he had served as a deacon for several years. He was a retired farmer and mechanic and had served on the Board of Directors for Southern States Cooperative. He united in marriage to Nancy Louise Cheatham December 20, 1954. She preceded him in death November 12, 1996. He is survived by one son and one daughter and spouses: Gary R. Johnson and wife, Toni and Kathy Newcome and husband, Wayne of Campbellsville; six grandchildren: Brittany Johnson, Leigh Anne Johnson, Matthew Newcome, Aaron Newcome, John Newcome and Sarah Newcome of Campbellsville; three sisters: Helen Akridge and Peggy Jo Price of Campbellsville and Shirley Rose of Lexington; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
